Profile: Tanzania Coles, 3rd Grade Teacher

DC native Tanzania Coles teaches at West because, in her words, "Children make her heart smile." Ms.Coles, 30, started teaching in Baltmore City in 2007. She returned to DC because she wanted to help her community. She helps kids get ready for their future, and she likes seeing students grow and excel.When she is not teaching she likes to sleep, read and cook.
